Nutty stuff, especially since the AICPA doesn’t license Certified Public Accountants, state boards of accountancy do. And the nutballs cite Section 730 of the AICPA bylaws which states only that your membership in that organization will be terminated if your license is terminated. The AICPA itself has no authority to revoke your CPA license.
I don’t know what the purpose of this particular scam is, but I do know that people who can’t make money legitimately and legally often resort to scams. These pathetic f0lks are usually lazy and not that bright, as evidenced by the imbecility of the above notice.
Snarky aside: The guy who conjured up this one, no doubt, is a proud member of The Occupy Wall Street movement.

Hi, this happen to me yesterday night, and I foubd that someone used my mail to send it to my contacts, what’s going on? New World Order?

Yeah,
I got this at my work e-mail. Actually I’ve gotten three or four of these. I’m not even a CPA. I’m a technical writer!

Yep…received this exact e-mail from “Jorge Bernard” email address _______@aicpa.org. These people should be put in cyberjail….dangerous in their own way…not to mention annoying. Thanks for letting us know about this. Oh, and I’m not even close to being a CPA!
