Jeremy Paul Olson was arrested after hitting a policeman in the face with a tomato reports TwinCities.com:
Jeremy Paul Olson, who Bloomington police identified as “a local man with no permanent address” and whose age was not immediately released, threw a tomato toward Palin from a second floor rotunda about 2 p.m.
The tomato missed Palin by about 10 feet — and instead splattered a Bloomington police commander in charge of the security detail, in the eye. Another officer was also struck by the pulpy shrapnel.
Olson now faces charges of criminal assault on a law enforcement official.
