Roman Polanski will be freed on bail. You heard me, Roman Polanski, the three-decades long fugitive from American justice, was granted bail today in a Zurich court.
Polanski pleaded guilty in 1977 to drugging and sodomizing a 13 year old girl. He fled the United States before sentencing.
Apparently Swiss authorities do not consider Mr. Polanski – a millionaire several times over who has actually fled justice for 32 years – to be a flight risk.
Once he is released, Polanski will be kept under house arrest and on an electronic monitor.
