Casting for the movie Professionalism: A Love Story has been set. Here are the main players and the parts they will play:
- Peter Pappas (The Tax Lawyer’s Blog): Chuck Norris (duh!)
- Robert Flach (The Wandering Tax Pro): Zubin Mehta (of course)
- Bruce McFarland (The Missouri Tax Guy): David Hasselhoff (the Germans love him)
- Mary O’Keeffe (Bed Buffaloes): Megan Fox (I like pictures of Megan Fox)
- Joe Kristan (Tax Updates): Brad Pitt (circa Benjamin Button, the beginning of the movie)
- Monica Lawver (TaxCPA): Billie Burke (“are you a good witch or a bad witch?”)
- Paul Caron (TaxProf Blog): John Wayne (nobody living has the stature and gravitas to play the Duke of all tax bloggers)
And here are the non-actor credits:
- Director: Quentin Tarentino (Quote: “I wanted to make a violent movie with lots of gratuitous sex, drug use, slow motion killing and accelerated depreciation .”)
- Screenplay: Balloon Boy’s father (has a great imagination and is definitely going to need the money)
- Key Grip: Kay Bell (A master of angles and shadows. If you don’t believe me, just check out one of her tax shelter schemes)
- Musical Score: Kelly Phillips Erb (gets the job in spite of the fact that she’s a Phillies fan and likes to hurl triple AAA batteries at the opposing team’s right fielder)
- Casting: Peter Pappas (the only way to ensure that Danny DeVito would not be cast to play him)
Soon to be playing in empty theaters everywhere.

My husband thinks your casting for my role is appropriate, but I personally would much prefer to be played by the feisty, intelligent, and classy Katherine Hepburn.

Mary,
LOL.
I love Katherine Hepburn. Greatest actress ever.

Wahoo! I got a part! Do I really seem as nice as Glinda? If so, I have a gift for PR that I never knew existed…

Hi Monica,
Of course you get a part.
Glinda had a darkside, too. She could have told Dorothy she could’ve gone home at anytime just by doing a little heel-clicking, but instead she let her suffer through 3 hours of wicked witch, grumpy tree and flying monkey harassment.
That wasn’t very nice.
