Happy Thanksgiving Day, everyone.
Here are the top 10 things (in no particular order) I am thankful for today:
1. I was lucky enough not to have been born in Ethiopia, Bangladesh, East Timor, Somalia or any one of a thousand other places where parents can’t be sure they’ll be able to feed their children in the morning.
2. I was lucky enough to have been born to parents who, although not formally educated, were intellectually curious people who passed that trait on to their children.
3. The people I love most – my wife, my mother, my brothers, my niece and nephew and their parents, my in-laws, my friends and my wonderful employees - are healthy and doing well in these tough times.
4. My Havanese puppy, Bella.
5. Johannes Gutenberg.
6. Al Gore for inventing the Internet.
7. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are still with us.
8. Cigars.
9. Kindness.
10. My father isn’t suffering anymore.
